Created in collaboration with Lauren Kagan, the Neshama Chai Necklace is a meaningful celebration of Jewish faith, tradition, and identity. Every detail within the Chai tells a story, bringing together timeless symbols that have connected generations.
The dove represents peace, hope, and the promise of renewal, recalling the dove that returned to Noah with an olive branch as a sign of new beginnings. The ב״ה (BH) stands for Baruch Hashem, meaning "Blessed is God," a daily expression of gratitude and faith. At the heart of the design is the Star of David (Magen David), the enduring symbol of the Jewish people, representing unity, strength, and our shared heritage. The Shabbat candles symbolize the light, peace, and holiness that welcome Shabbat into the home each week, reminding us to pause, reflect, and connect with family and tradition. The challah represents the sanctity of Shabbat, abundance, and the blessing of gathering around the table with loved ones. Completing the design is the Chai (חי), meaning "life," one of Judaism's most cherished symbols, representing the preciousness of life, resilience, and the enduring spirit of the Jewish people.
